I used Superglue on all of the panels as the sticky rear of these are never good enough.

This is why you really need to make your mind up before sticking your neck out.

I think they turned out really well and have had no issues with them since fitting them.

Regards.

Those leather looking bags look a bit nifty. Details??

Thanks, Jon.

Looks very smart, indeed.

Like the other respondent, I'd like the to know your source for the leather bags.

Best regards.:)

Jon,

You do like to stick tat all over your otherwise nice car don't you:rofl:

Because of you my silly wife spent

Hello again Jon,

Prior to using superglue, did you remove the adhesive backing? Or, did you just compliment the adhesive with spots of superglue as belt and braces, so to speak.

Obviously, the type of superglue you used has been compatible with the product. Can you recall the brand and type?

Thanks for your patience.:)

Another question for Jon.....

Where did you get the stick-on kit from?

I've seen similar on Ebay from Germany - is it one of those?

Cheers

Yes, mine was from Germany also. £45 (ish) including delivery.

I didn't use the bits for the switches as they're fiddly and personally I didn't like them.

Even when the dash was cleaned with thinners, they would not stay on. That's why the glue was needed, reluctantly so, but necessary.

P.S - Obviouslt DO NOT go cleaning the entire dash with thinners, only the very small areas where the carbon was applied was done and I used cotton earbuds for precision.

Bill,

Yes, remove the backing and add spots of glue. The centre vent piece itself is slightly curved at the corners so you must be very careful to hold it down for 30 seconds min.

The rest of the pieces are flat and quite straightforward. Just don't apply too much glue.

I used the latest Superglue (the proper brand) with the brush, pretty handy.
