Another little update

Featured Replies

Seems an engine is available with 11k on the clocks, for a minor extra amount of dosh, so gonna go for that instead now. There was a potential issue as the engine that was going to be used had the same code but the Fabia one has some minor tweaks that could have been a problem for the fitting.

Using a 'proper' Fab vRS engine will make the job easier, the lower mileage is a bonus too, and as a result, that's what's gonna be done now.

Only gotcha is that it will take a bit longer + as the engine is so new, it may not be loosened up as much yet. Will soon sort that though

Sounds promising. Atleast the car will be more "lightweight" with the soon to be size of your wallet!!!

Plenty of stuff costing me money at the moment :(

Got a tax rebate coming though which ought to cover the engine cost just about, but then there has been plenty of stuff I had to invest in.

Oh well.. so youve got a LONNNNNG way to go to catch me now ;) :P

Only on the engine :P :P :P

Good stuff - effectively a brand new engine with all the factory seals, torwued new fastners, etc..

What happened to the former vehicle of this engine, just out of interest?

Not sure but kinda guessing something bad ?

Fully tested engine again so should be solid I hope :)

That's why I was so pleased to get a 7360 mile old engine when I got mine. :) I was effectively "renewing" the engine from a 63k one to a barely run in 7k one.

Hope it's all sorted soon. :D

So how much has the car set you back now then?

If you're not careful you would have been able to afford a veyron with the cash you spent :P
