Revo for the VRS MKII petrol

Featured Replies

Going to have the octy mapped this month (after pay day!!) so just had a look at JKM's website from the 'partners' section.

They've run a RR day for the the UK-MKiv golf forum in Feb and recorded 248.6 BHP for a stage 1 revo Octy II with an EVOM intake.

This is quite a bit different from the results posted on the January Briskoda RR day for revo stage 1 on the same RR ,....... anyone got any idea why ? have Revo improved the map or is the RR set up differently now ?

In addition, there was a silver octy II which which was RR'd pre Revo but has since been revo'd,

If that's your car, how much extra power did you make post Revo ?? (cheers;) )

Also what is the EVOM intake, does it add much (other than noise) and if so how much are they and where can I get one?

Had almost made my mind up to go the 'Morego' route but if +48bhp is 'genuinely' available via Revo now will go that route instead of +35bhp from Morego.

Cheers guys :)

Hopefully there will be someone along with some knowledge soon.

noone dares to answer this lol but i think the silver mk2 made quite a nice gain. its had one or two bits added since and now is a lot better. revo settings 9-6-9 on vpower fuel.

There has been a significant amount of discussion on here about this subject and in particular about REVO's quoted figures (a search should pull up the threads on the subject). The 248bhp you mention on the UkMkiV's RR Day was achieved by a particularly strong car that has always produced 'good' figures and prior to the EVOM intake achieved around the 235bhp mark consistently which would suggest that the intake gives a 10-15bhp increase over standard.

That said I have no hesitation in recommending the REVO software for the 2.0T FSI and do not be put off by 'figures', the way it will perform afterwards will transform the way you drive

I agree, driveability is more important. Lots of factors can effect the outcome on the rollers. The biggest one is temperature on the day, on a cool day the figures will be higher than a hot one.
