Hi all, newbie to this site and to Skoda ownership. Just bought a 2005 Octi 2.0 TDi last Thurs. Got to take it back to the dealers today though. It's started making an awful grinding noise in 2nd and 3rd, and keeps popping out of 6th when slowing down. (and it looks like there might be a coolant leak as well as I've had to top it up twice in 220 miles. Not bad for a car with 13k on the clock. :orb_angry

My housemate's got a 2006 Octi VRs and that's absolutely perfect.

Hopefully they'll get it sorted in short order.

Hello and welcome.

Got the car sorted. No messing around from the Dealer (such a pleasant surprise, my last car was a renault !!)

They put in a brand new gearbox and Radiator. Problems solved and no cost to me at all. :-)

Does anyone know if you can get some diagnostics mode on the stereo, much like the Seat Leon where you can get the Speedo and rev counter in digital form ?

Sorry, I do love to play with this sort of thing. How geeky is that ?
