1. If you have a Nautic Blue skud like mine and it has a few scuffs and blobs of rust around the edges instead of buying the touch up pencil or trying to spray buy a pot of blue smootherite - a bang on match and rust won't be back! (make sure it is round the edges though!!

2. when adjusting tappets and that stupid cover by the drivers wheel has rusted screws, don't bother trying to drill them out and make a mess you can get a rachet in the gap. I do this on my own even without removing spark plugs.

3. Keep those sliders on your front brakes greased to prevent binding

4. Brake pads expensive? go to an autojumble and source some sierra 1.3 pads as they are exactly the same for 1.3 Felicia

5. Spray some carburettor/injector cleaner around the throttle body every year to keep things clean

6. Get tons of waxoyl on those front struts!

7. Don't try and catch up with a Fabia VRS on the A1!

number 7 can be done. if you catch them sleeping it takes about 2 miles for there dozzy turbos to wake up and reel you in.

Great tips there, and i definitely won't be trying number 7!

I know this is off topic, but ive just realised that "pinkskud's" picture is very similar to one i have of one of my friends, friends who's hair they platted in the pub!

2. Or stick it in gear and rock the car backwards and forwards, even easier.

1.3 Sierra???? do you mean Escrot? Don't think there was a 1.3 Sierra. The 1.6s I drove were quite slow enough.:D
