Radiators

Featured Replies

On the Octy II which of the three "radiators" at the front is the traditional radiator for the coolant.

Are there any pipes on the bottom passenger side that could leak and also does anybody have any idea how expensive it is to replace one of these?

Ta

Do you have a leak then?

Surely would be a warranty job, unless it was caused by a stone/act of god? :D

Chris

Thats where I was heading unless it was some sort of hypothetical question or part of a master plan.

I might have a leak, sure you know where it is at the moment Stu.

Was full yesterday when I checked the levels and the thing pretty much dumped the entire tank of coolant in an instant. :(

Assist came, and RAC guy topped it all up drove to the dealers it isn't loosing anything but is damp.

The initial water must have been quite a gush because when i popped the bonnet there was water on top of the engine cover etc :(

The reason i was asking which one is at the front is because if it isn't the RAD there is no way i can think of that a stone would get through to the RAD

Ta

Let us know how it goes when you pick it up from Sparshatts.

All fixed I'll be posting a review in the correct section in a bit.

was a warrenty job thankfully.

I know your problem is fixed but funnily enough I have recent experience of this area of the engine bay and conclusively tell you that the front one is the condensor for the AC. Dont accidently cut into it will you!;):D

Mmmm Freon, well 134a these days but either way, not nice.

IIRC 134a forms mustard gas when it gets too hot :thumbdwn:
