Buying new Octy 2.0 VRS TFSi, have Question regarding warranty work

Featured Replies

Have all but purchased privately sold 2nd hand 2.0 tfsi VRS which i am collecting on thursday (absolutely ecstatic, its like waiting on santa, cant sleep etc!!:o ) Just regarding warranty work though, i am buying privately and having almost 2 and a half year warranty left, is there any chance that a Skoda dealer would be awkward because i never purchased the car off them direct??

Not really, you should be treated just the same as a customer who bought the car from them! :)

You will have (or should have) a white form in the service pack t register you as the new owner for warranty purposes.

In Ireland all they do is check the reg on their system regardless how many owners it has had to see when it was first registered. Its two years warranty not three that we get.

Where are you buying the car Sean? Is it one of the ones on carzone?

Slightly off-topic, but is there any way of checking whether the car is on Skoda's black-list (if they have one) - cars that they are aware have been modified?

The car has the warranty and not the owner. If you have any questions ring cust services - they are usually quite helpful.

They were when i was registering my imported RS for uk warranty.
