I am now happy with the current position, I have setup some forwarding email addresses now so all is back to normal, well as normal as can be when changing domains.

I need to get back onto google again, so if you have links to my old site on your webpages can you all amend them from www.octaviars.com to http://www.octaviars.co.uk. Hopefully then when google indexes you it will follow your link to my site and I'll be back on again.

The dns record for my old domain has now changed to pending deletion, I wonder how long it is until it vanishes. Maybe then I can re-register it.

You should be able to claim it back as domains sit in a dormant period before you can sell them on to another person.

Sounds like they are infact just sh*te.

I have used 123-reg a few times over the years.

Currently have www.stevenhedley.co.uk www.deid-fin.co.uk and SuckSqueezeBangBlow through them - they all redirect to parts of my free webspace that comes with my broadband.

I had fun moving stevenhedley.co.uk from freenetnames to 123-reg - I had to fax Nominet when the domain became 'in limbo' to claim ownership of it!

Well, things progress. The new site has been indexed by yahoo, well the homepage anyway, as it didnt like the framed page to hide its true url (my home server). Just need google to get there, and maybe I can start getting back to the number of hits the previous site did.
