Alrighty folks? Been a registered member here for a while but never saw this thread!

My car is a 2002 '02-plate Fabia Comfort Estate 1.9TDi = cracking car, bought for the new arrival (daughter). Previously had a W-reg 1.4 8v Fabia Classic Hatchback with no toys, which was fine but lacked a bit of zip.

Anyway, a few interesting but non-essential faults on the current effort - I've a feeling I'll find the answers deep inside the forums somewhere, but if anyone knows anything (particularly about the cost of getting them fixed) about the following please let me know.

1) Rear doors appear to leak and wick water up the inside panel on both doors.

2) One of the 3 horn sensors (top right) doesn't work.

3) The indicator 'tick-tock' sound stopped working this afternoon.

4) Irritating occasional squeak from the middle of the dash just above the radio - disappears for while if you give the dash a good thump.

Cheers,

Dave

:)

A belated welcome.

I think the dash one can be sorted by taking a look at the mounting bush, there are a few posts but I think it's one that's not come up recently.

Rear doors leaking is very common - a guide can be found on my Fabia site.

What do you mean by horn sensors? On the airbag/steering wheel?

Cheers Stu,

The horn thing is the steering wheel itself. Must be a connection thing I'm thinking as the horn itself works just fine.

Probaably needs the contacts cleaning. You'd need to remove the airbag, instructions and precautions in the Cruise Control fitting guide, agin on my Fabia site.

It's the black wires in this picture -
