Is it worth picking up one of these as Ive spotted one locally for a decent price with low miles, or are they pretty robust? Mine has done 45k/2001 Y plate. I remember seeing some issues with them a while ago on the forum?

Personally I wouldn't bother. I know they have failed but it seems fairly rare. Just my opinion and others may well disagree.

i can't remember hearing of problem steering racks. i don't think its something thats too common myself
