Front left wheel wobbles but bearing is OK....?

Featured Replies

Could this mean the ball joint is a little suspect? The right wheel doesn't wobble nearly as much.

Are all ball joints for Fabias generic, and there's no separate ones for TDI models? :) (oh, and anyone know how much they are, from GSF, dealers?)

if its side to side play , it could be the track rod or track rod end

if its top to bottom play , this points more to the bearing

but play can also be found in the ball joint , wishbone bushes or a loose wheel LOL

Well, wheel is tight. He said it was when it was done left to right, so will check the track rod ends first. :) The bearing is quiet - wishbone bushes do need replacing - I want the cupra ones in there (there's 4 in all right?)

It's just there's some cheap ball joint ends on Ebay at the moment so was wondering if it was worth getting one.

depends if it's just the wheel moving or the whole suspension...

if it's just the wheel moving i would suggest track rod ends too.

Don't buy cheap ball joints, get OE

have you tried the centre nut that holds the hub to the carrier?
