Hi, anyone have any idea why this would not be working on my estate? cant see any fuses gone, am sure the car has this function?!! does anyone have any suggestions as i have drained my battery once already:( thanks

Driver's door open switch failed? The interior light comes on when you take the key out, so it's not immediately obvious if the switch isn't working. Does the door open light come on on the dashboard when you open the door?

just checked and there is def no door open light on the dash, the light does come on if the door opens tho (if the interior light is not on already) hmmm

Looks as though thats your problem then. Door open and no warning light on dash = dodgy door light switch. Remove and clean the switch contacts/connections or replace the switch if switch is sealed. You could also check the switch is operating correctly if you have a multimeter.
