Question?

Do you need a new one (or an exchange one) every 60,000 miles or so?

Mine went at 65,000 miles restricting the rpm to 2000 - not funny as I was in France at the time.

Will I be needing another at 125-130,000, so should I change it as a precaution?

Buy one and keep it in a bag in the boot if you are worried.

They are £65 exchange from the dealer but IIRC you can get them for about £85 without exchange from eurocar parts etc. If you do get one make sure it's a genuine article.
