Dash vibration???

Featured Replies

hi there i was wondering if anyone could help i have a vibration kind of noise coming from around the passenger side of the dash, but it only happens when i accelerate? bit weird i no, was just wondering if any of you have had this issue, thanks in advance -TDi vRS-.

it is probobly the glove box my fabia has a rattle coming from the glove box its a pain in the ****!

If it is the glove box hatch.. I sorted mine by fitting some cork pads from B&Q. Makes the door very tight and rattle free.

where on the glove box hatch did you fit the pads as i have been trying to sort mine out for ages?:)

Mine sometimes rattles from the glove box but the noise seems to be coming from the latch mechanism inside the glovebox lid. Not sure how to deal with it, maybe try and squirt some silicon grease inside the lid and hope it does something.

I had a noise from this area, but eventually traced it to the plastic shroud on the right of the passenger footwell, running from behind the centre console towrds the scuttle - it had worked loose (or been kicked?) at the top and was vibrating over certain road surfaces.

could be the clear plastic covering the spedo/rev counter - mine reverberates annoyingly when accelerating, so much so its going into skoda on monday!

someone on here also said it was their bonnet and the way in which the fixings were attached -

my rattle went after i put stuff on top of the secret floor in the glove compartment

My glovebox was doing the same and I put thepads on both corners of the glove box which as said made it really nice and tight and rattle free.

But I now have another rattle!!!

That was me mjallday, that solved the rattle that was there all the time but i now got one when accerating, it does sound like the glove box.
