Seat Surgeons Leather Upgrade - Colours

Featured Replies

Hi all,

After finding that I'm going to have to clean my seats yet again soon, I've decided that leather is the way forward once I've saved up the

Stu's site is the best catalogue of examples really. If it were me, I'd have black with silvery grey centres. Think some with yellow cars have had the seats done accordingly. Different coloured stitching is also something to bear in mind - perhaps red to bring out the detail and add a little bit of colour/interest.

BryanD's interior is also one to have a look at, for what's possible.

Let us know what you decide on  - whatever you decide I know you won't regret it....

I went for black with red stitching (as per my signature below), certainly not too dark. There are some photos in a thread on here around Sep / Oct 2006 when I had it done.

That looks really really nice. Like the red stitching too. :)

Good job it's wipe clean....I'd be messing myself every time I got in if it looked as good as that. ;)

It doesn't really look too dark either. Hmm.....

How long did it take them to do it? Also, what's the procedure? Do you order them in advance and they fit them on the day? Curious really. :)

Our seats from Seat Surgeons (fitted in a Black Fabia) are dark grey with red interiors and red stitching. The dark grey is a good match for the internal plastic trim. I can imagine this colourway might suit a silver car too (and yes I agree that black could be a bit dark).

You can see piccies of our interior on a couple of threads......

The procedure:

1. Ring up Seat Surgeosn - & thay will send you colour swatch booklets

2. Order from Seat Surgeons & book a date for fitting - normally c. 2-week lead time (the leather seat kits are made to order and shipped in from China)

3. Drive to SS early on the appointed morning - they open at 8pm - they will give you a lift into York

4. SS take around 4-5 hours to fit the seats and door cards - they will call your mobile when the car's ready

5. Taxi to SS - pay your money

6. Drive home in your car with lovely new interior (it may smell of glue for the first couple of days, from the doorcard fitting, but that soon wears off and then you get that lovely leather smell.

OMG just looked at those pics.....those seats look fantastic. Dammit, I want leather NOW!

Many thanks for your response. I'll bear that in mind when I call SS up. I work in York anyway so I could possibly do it on a workday.

White cloth seats are so stupid. They're going fuzzy on the bolster already and I have to ensure everyone that gets in the car is clean. It's annoying.

Hi,

I've just recently had my black vRS Furby done at seat surgeons and I tell you what, I'd never go back to old.

I had black with black perforated inserts and don't think it's too dark....it looks soooo classy!

I think all black is the best bet i've seen a few silver cars with black leather and they look bob on.

Not forgetting to quote stu @ fabia-vrs.com and/or briskoda for the discount pricing. :P

If I had a Silver Fabia, I would go for red leather with black stitching
