Just picked up a new Roomster 2 1.4 TDI. Looks great, pulls really well, getting tow bar fitted next Tuesday, looking forward to seeing how it pulls my trailer tent. Had Peugeot 206 Estate before that. It pulled fine, but could not cope with the weight in the back (not overloaded by a long way) It literally used to scrape the ground with 2 adults in the back - that was without the trailer on! Hope this performs better.

Hi Steve,

Pick up my Roomster 3 1.9 TDI either tomorrow or Friday to replace my Fabia vrs.

Thinking of getting a hitch fitted to mine so will be interested to see what you think of it as a towing car.

Is the skoda scala slave cylinder concentric and located inside the gearbox for all models, or is it just the 1.5 engine which doesn't have it on the outside of hte gearbox? I'm seeing different reports about whether the gearbox needs to be removed to check or replace it on a 1.0 litre engine.

Hi, I've recently sold my MK2 and bought a MK3. I'm having issues with the exhaust gas getting into the coolant. I need to find out what is causing this. Is it likely to be the EGR or something more serious like a blown head gasket or a crack in the block? I've only had this car for 5 weeks so am looking to approach the dealer I bought it from. They only gave a 30 day warranty. They already had it in for a week and were supposed to repair this but they haven't done it.

First time starting a project thread, bear with me... Heard about this Roomster not too far from me that might be heading for a scrapyard, and decided to try to acquire it. We bought our Scala Monte Carlo Edition 1.5 tsi back in December and from late January it has had both mechanical problems and electronic gremlins. The mechanical problem have mostly been sorted, new rear discs and pads that were making noises like a wheel bearing was rumbling, the gearbox has had a software update and a reset (it's still not perfect). And the road noise is just the high dB tyres and lack of sound insulation. The electronic gremlins were put down to a failing 12v battery which
