Hello to all,

Does Anybody own or tried Roomster with this engine? I ordered one and now waiting for delivery. Could anybody compare it with 1.9 TDI in term of handling, comfort (noise) etc.

i presume it will be quicker, 0-60 and top speed, lighter and nippyer? but the 1.9 i was well impressed! there both the same bhp. just prbrably more economical?

Definitely nippy! Less noise, less economy by the way

Had the 1.6 since early December. Really quiet engine & very responsive, average mpg about 38 at the moment, the best so far has been 44 on 1 journey but this is going up all the time.

My wife currently owns Roomster 1.6 6 speed automatic. Really nice and comfortable car, it does not pull very good though but enough for town and motorway driving. Engine is pretty quiet on low revs but starts to screem around 4k rpms. The automatic transmision is very good although it feels like it needs a bit more powerfull engine.

In general me,wife and our kid loves the car, we prefer it to our RS for family trips.
