Goog evening everyone - Just joined, after getting an Octavia Vrs in a couple of months and was wondering if there's anything I should look out for - my budget is about 10k so will be looking for a nice low mileage Mk 1 about '04 - '05 - Is the newer 2.0 that much better? Also, what sort of performance can I expect from the 1.8? Hoping to upgrade to th ediesel Vrs in a couple of years, looks ace in every aspect!

Thanks. If I've got about 7-8k to spend on a VRS, what sort of age car should I be looking at? I've seen some nice looking early cars for nearly half this amount, but then costs shoot up (Presume because of the new shape)?
