2nd Fog Light activation

Featured Replies

I tried to enable to second fog light on Suboilbib '54 Octavia II.

Unfortunately checking the relevant byte/bit in the long coder it does not display the wording against the bit ???

Attached is Byte 03/04 screenshots from VAG-COM

Managed to do the alarm chirps, lights-on unlock, single unlock and MFD2 coding

We decided to tick the relevant boxes and saving it away. On testing the second fog light did not come on? Going back into the controller it had unticked it?

Sorry Mike  let's hope someone has a better idea then I do

Any ideas people?

Can you see if you can upload the Screen Shots Ray.

Still failing to upload - I'll MSN it over, can you try?

I tried to edit your post and add it but got the same error.

14100.attach

The only obvious thing I can see is that the part numbers are different to the ones I posted screen shots of the other day.

I noticed on mine before there were boxes with Not Relevant/Unknown beside them (some were ticked others weren't)....is that a VagCom Issue ie no data for those particular bits.

Wait until Monday, there will be an update which also contains new details for these codings... ;)

On a slightly different subject the self update facility on the Beta seems to work well Sebastian.

Any chance of including or producing a change log?

Change logs are published for major versions, but not minor tweaks within a major version, such as within the current Beta cycle. We've pushed out more intermediate versions this cycle than we normally would in part to test the automatic update capability, and in part because we had some reports of crashing on startup which were due to an interaction between the automatic update checks and certain firewalls. We're pretty confident we've got that sorted now, so we're looking at a real 704.0 release this week.

Been using it for a bit now Uwe no great problems except a registration issue after the first flash upgrade but that seemed to sort itself out.

Had another update and when the cable was used this morning it flashed it again but all seems well - touch wood.

I declined an upgrade download on my other laptop and I couldn't get it to update via the update button after that so I had to download the beta again and install it that way.
