Key Fob

Featured Replies

My fabia has got one of the boring (imho) , non flip type keys but I quite like the look of the new flip keys. As I haven't got remote locking is it as simple as buying a blank one (off ebay) and getting it cut? Also, has anyone got suggestions for places to go that are the best/cheapest for doing car keys?

You should still be able to use the fob as a key but obviously the buttons won't work.

You'll need to code the immo chip to the car as well which will require the 4 digit SKC and VAG-COM or a trip to the dealer.

Key blanks can be bought from a guy on ebay who'll cut them from a good digital image.

What is the process for coding the immo chip either by VAG-COM or by the dealer? (i.e. how does it work?)
