classic?

Hallo from Ireland

I THINK THAT EARLY FELICIAS MAY BECOME CLASSIC CARS IN THE NEXT FEW YEARS.

I REFER TO LATE 1990S BEFORE ADVENT OF FABIA,BEFORE ELECTRIC WINDOWS, LIKE MY OWN MANUAL WIND.

ANYWAY , I HAVE JUST REPLACED THE ENGINE ON MY FELICIA ESTATE 1998, I.9D, the non-turbo model.

the compression failed at 100,000 miles and my skoda garage could not help so i got a dismantler to install a low mileage engine, iam very pleased as i like this car a lot and would be sore to part with it.

should be good for another 3-4 years with proper oil changes etc. and i will change engines again if needs be, and if body is still sound.

anyone know where to find the engine number on the diesil ? as i wish to verify same for peace of mind. will i have to take parts off to access number? is it engraved or on a plate riveted to engine ? hope someone can help.

i cannot praise this car enough, and i am rambling now so ill stop .

happy skoding
