Howdy folks,

Just wandering if anyone else experiences a very faint high pitch buzzing noise after breaking and stationary but whilst keeping brake lever depresed - for example breaking for a red light and keping foot on brake until green again.

Also my brakes feel quite weak - is this just standard.

How old is the car? The brakes on the Fabia ... depending on which one it is, generally the vRS aren't great, and it could be the difference from the car you've come from also.

What year and model is your car?

I have a PD100 estate, and I occasionally get a high-pitched electronic sort of beep after medium braking (ie not hard enough for the ABS to kick in). It continues, as you say, until the brake pedal is released.

Sounds like the ABS pump running.

Yeah I had noticed a high pitched noise when stopping at lights some times. Never thought it was the brake though, will have to try it!

Car is an 06 plate vRS.

I get that on my 55 Fab vRS, thought I was imagining it at first. Is it indicative of a fault or is it common for this to occur??

How strange I thought I was hearing things as I also get this noise. I have to say though that I heard this noise after the the brake light pod (the high one) at the back of my 54 plate Fab vRS was replaced under warrenty. Could this be the cause or is it something else like the brake light switch..
