Hi everyone!:), can anyone help, the little steering wheel symbol wont turn off on the dash. i've replaced the angle sensor (computer said faulty sensor), but still the same.

I have hydraulic assistance, but no electric assistance (hydro-electric), any ideas out there!

The definition of the Hydro-Electric Pas is Hydraulic Pressure provided by and Electric Pump.

Have you got VAG-COM? There is a procedure to calibrate the Steering Angle Sensor.

Thanks Stu :thumbup: , i've heard from one of the mechanics at work that a knackered alternator can cause the electric steering to stop (and turn the light on!), quite common on Land Rovers, apparantly, It draws 60A, and if the alternator cannot supply enough it will bring up the light and stop the electric assistance for the steering from working.
