2003 vrs, can u fit a new MFD2??

Featured Replies

Hi :)

New to Skoda (bought an '03 vrs 3 days ago!) and new to the forum :P

I'm amazed by my new car so far - was wondering if I can fit an MFD2 unit to it?

Currently I have an after-market Sony cassette face-off with a 10 CD boot changer. The MFD2 looks cool, and I saw them go for

If you could it may not work as it should and would require a custom fascia as well as some custom cabling.

Probably not something I would advise.

What about MFD?

As far as I am aware, you can only have the MFD1 in the Octy 1,and the MFD2 in the Octy 2.

I was looking at them a while ago, and that was the information people gave me on here.

HTH.

Sorry I should have mentioned I got a Fabia not Octavia...

Would an MFD be an easier instal?

Thanks Snoopie! :))

Welcome

Yep, if it's a Fabia then the only option is the v1 MFD. A few people have done it that I know of.

I've got one in mine, but I wouldn't bother tbh. The sta-nav woman seems to be permanently ****ed

She is a rather stern women who used to get on my nerves as well, you can turn her off but that defeats the object!

The front of the MFD2 is the completely wrong shape, it aint gonna fit in the standard hole anyway.

gotcha - will concentrate efforts on v1 MFD, or other nav options...

cheers!

Yeah, plenty about, last time I looked. I'd concentrate on the later revisions too.
