Poorboy's

Featured Replies

Ever since buying my vRS WRC I have missed getting a nice shine on the paint. I've always had metallic colours in the past. Whilst the white is easy enough to polish up, it never stands out as 'just washed'. I decided to splash out on some cleaning goodies and in the end I opted for Poorboy's. I've just put the third (and final!) coat of wax on and all I can say is WOW! It's gleaming, far better than any result I have had with meguiars (which is saying something as I do rate meguiars highly). I washed first, then used a clay bar, then polish and finally three coats of wax. Finally the paint is in a condition I am happy with. I'm going to start on the wheels next, unfortunately I didn't buy the wheel sealant so I'm in two minds weather to use the wax instead or wait and buy the correct wheel paste.

Anyway it's a big thumbs up to Poorboy's from me :D

Any pictures?

Did you use a glaze & sealant after the polish or just wax? I've heard Clearkote Vanilla Moose is also excellent on light cars. I'm planning to get some together with Victoria Collectors wax when I have the funds. Which wax did you use, Natty's Paste? Let us know how long it lasts.

Go with the proper wheel sealer.

As for the rest of the stuff dont even get me started. Since i found detailing world i find myself wanting to spend loads on cleaning stuff

Definately agree for the wheel sealer - again the poorboys is a fantastic product, whilst you can use the wax it wont last as long as specific wheel sealant.

I'm in the same boat -- detailingworld is an expensive place to visit

but some of the results people post on there are truly amazing

No pictures yet but I will take one or two when I'm done. I'm not sure if my photography skills will be up to showing off the shine though!

have a quick look on detailing world about how to capture the reflections and shine
