CTR Aerial

Featured Replies

Got a CTR aerial, can't seem to get it to fit the Fabia, the thread seems too short. Any advice?

I've looked on here (using the search) but cant find no part numbers or pics. Anyone got either of these?

I've got a CTR aerial if that helps. Came as standard. :D

You just need the Fabia underneath it and you'll be sorted! :P

They're quite expensive from Honda dealers IIRC, circa

Try the price of a Skoda radio/phone aerial from a dealer - £15 is peanuts ((circa 48)

Still, for the Honda stubby aerial, about £7 from eBay is better :D

Like it alot.

Does it fold down?

Where do those Stickers come from that's in the back window?

obviously you were able to take the orginal aerial off okay. I tried with mine last night - it got to the point where it seemed to be out of the thread, but just wouldn't come out.

Any tips ?

No the Honda aerial just unscrews and comes off so no need to fold it down etc..... I believe the original aerial folds down because it is anti-theft and so isn't designed to be removed easily.

The Briskoda one??? You get them from on here..... Can't quite remember where the details are though......

  • 4 months later...

Just spotted this thread. I'd like to fit a stubby aerial on my Fabia, for no other reason than that the long standard one catches on the branches of the tree I park under in the driveway of my block of flats.

I have tried unscrewing the original aerial, but it just folds down without coming off. This thread seems to suggest I should just give it a yank, but I'm scared to break anything. Is this definitely the way to go?

As for a replacement, the Honda S2000 aerial seems to be the favourite round here - do I need to replace the whole thing (base + mast) or can I just replace the mast?

Desperately needs lowering. Nice condition & spec

You can do what I did.

Pull the rubber bit off the top of the aerial mast. Cut the OE mast down and refit the rubber top.

Job done.

Hmmm. Interesting. How much do you reckon I could get away with chopping off before the reception was seriously affected?

I got a nice stubby black alloy one off ebay for around
