memories of the vRS...

Featured Replies

hey all... I let the old fabia vRS go tomorow, after two years and 78,000 happy miles... I've kept a little momento to let me remember her ;)

I will post pics of the new car, in general car chat in the near future.... I'll do a little writeup at the weekend too ;)

*sharky sadly waves goodbye...... :o

Sure the Punto Sporting in red that will be sat on the drive will soon ease the pain!

Will it

I hope it goes well!

Saw you driving round Windermere at sometime over the bank holiday weekend with the sign on board!

Will the punto look the same with that on top?

good luck and I will keep my eyes pealed for your new motor

thanks man, I do alot of work around the Ambleside area :)

I was considering changing the name to maybe "Arbarth" or something, but the locals know me now, and most of them didn't know the school name related to the car anyway! lol..... will look strange to thoes in the know having vRS on the roof of the fiat! but, i will be in a posistion to change this car between 18, and 24 months, so I may keep the sign, and see what the new fabia vRS is like next year, but then, there will be the fiat 500 Arbarth out then too! lol.....

Put a vRs badge on it!!

Ps. I have a couple of Arbarth enamel badges somewhere I had on my Fiat Uno Turbo

I wonder how many times it will breakdown............after all its a Fiat!!!

Hopefully not as many times or as badly as the Fabia.

I have plenty of momento's of my previous car, the good times, the bad times and the darn right ugly ones!

Have you got the interior with the rasied spots ? or did you get it leathered ?

You will have to post a report on it as I am thinking of this as a potential replacement for my Furby.

Will it

Based on the above photo's yes :)

normal seats (raised spots as you say!) they do have an alcantara like insert though, as if it's part suede, imitation though... very supportive seats, better for the middle of my back (lumbar?) than the furby's were.... too early for a dynamic drive review yet (112 miles so far) but I'll write one up in the review section soon... if you come along to the may BBQ you can have a drive  (leather option is

Looks good mate. Look forward to seeing it at Bury

Looks very nice that, red looks to be the right colour - mini Alfa!

Hope it serves you well.

Steve

Out of interest, would you be able to fit a Greyhound size dog in the boot.... with a dog gaurd of course?

thanks for the thumbs up guys, loving it so far (doing a pass plus today, so we'll see how the pupil likes it) hope it doesn't break down, the old punto was crap for reliability, the new panda however, did quite well in the latest survey, so hopefully this will follow! If if does keep dying, youll see me on here complaining, and waiting for the next fabia vRS! lol..

john, you probably could, split fold rear seats, but with them up, the boot isn't as large as the fabia (horizontal wise) but is very deep (vertical wise.....) no spare tyre, there is an electronic pump filled with glue!

the review will be comming...

and yes, from the front it does look baby masarati ish ;) I don't normally like red cars, but this red is nice (£250 option!) just seems a little deeper.....

Really like the outside view but wasn't keen on the centre console/dash area when i first saw it at stealers, look forward to a closer look at bbq tho:thumbup:

However. Looks good. Are you going to wash this one??;)

Whats the performance like compared to the Fabia?

Sorry couldn't resist:P

If it was a stone on the plus side at least it took the windscreen out rather than denting/ chipping the bodywork:eek: Still flamin bad luck tho mate :( but again on the plus side now it is "christaned")
