i believe all of it except the 60mpg bit.

Indeed.

Though it would be very light. And in the right gear, assuming you're on the flat it wouldn't take that much energy to keep it moving - still sounds optimistic, but apparently they're convinced they can do 1000 miles on a tank on real roads.

Looks good, did you read the bit about 50mpg being achieved at 56mph in 8th gear at 400rpm, sounds a bit thoeretical/impossible.

even so would be fun!

6.6 litre GM Turbo Diesel - only 375 bhp, but 705 Nm torque! Where the hell did they get that, a tank? That's one hell of an auto box they've hooked it up to.

I always wanted to put a 16 cylinder Volvo truck engine in the back of a Volvo estate. I don't think I'll bother now, this looks much classier

J

Edit: Oh my ***, it's a sled!

Edit2: Picture won't inline, so clicky.

The thing is, even if it only did 40mpg in "normal" driving that'd be pretty stunning.

didn't notice its a TD

i still think the same car with a nice light petrol turbo engine would be significantly faster :D

for example a 1.8T modified to give say 350bhp and about 370lbft in that car would be fantastic.

Yeah, but a lot thirstier...

indeed, awesome fun though.

Bet your gutted now

its like having the most awesome looking chocolate cakes with loads of chocolate sauce and cream but it turns out that its not chocolate its marmite and thats not cream its animal fat.

looks awesome, feels awesome but as soon you taste it its just sooooo wrong.

it just looks wrong... the bonnet is way to long. It would be a dog to drive round town and on twist roads.

I'd be willing to give it a go. ;)

It looks a bit Viper/TVR ish to me. In a good way.

Imagine the caravan you could tow with the *******! Or you could have a trailer with a Range Rover on it. Smashing.

If it's built like a TVR then it would probably fall apart after 100 yards...;)

i don't dislike diesels i jus think they have a time and place much like petrols do, you wouldn't sticka massive meptrol engine in a lorry and although my work van is a petrol i don't think they make economical sense really. diesels are for work horses like lorries and vans, off roaders, family cars that tow and tight people. petrols are for fun :)

10-15 years ago I'd have said all of the above is true.... but Diesel's have come on so much.

I'll admit that petrol is probably the most fun, but with fuel prices so high if you do anything near a decent amount of mileage in this day and age Diesel is the only way to go.... especialy if you have other major financil commitments, mortgage, school fee's etc... Hence why we are seeing the development of cars such as this and the Le Manns Audi etc.....

I wouldn't say that diesel ownership makes you 'tight'

Who know's in another 10 years all new performance cars may be Diesel

If you can afford to blow

I doubt many £60k cars have cheap tyres on them...

Hth :)

That's quite mad!

Why is there a Dehumidifier on the options list though?
