Modding Is A Pain????

Featured Replies

What do you all think,

I bought my octavia vrs because i knew you get a lot of car for the money and i huge boot, Now i love my cars and i used to have a astra coupe turbo, i joined the astrasport forum and then it all started, The car was 190 bhp standard and i spend around

I'm agree, extracting more power is an addictive hobby! I also agree that the best part is upsetting drivers of far more expensive cars. The only down side for me is when you overtake a BMW/Audi/Mercedes and they get so upset by it that they feel the need to sit right on your bumper afterwords. Quite what they are trying to prove, I don't know!

 What do you all think.....

Stop now as youll just be spending more money on minimal gains! A remap is enough for me.

I was the same as you mate, but then i thought without the exhaust and better induction...these things will make the map work better.

Great if your into this modding thing............I personally don't get the 'power mod' thing. If you want/ed a more powerful car then buy one.

It will do Im sure but for a full exhaust system, cat and downpipe plus induction youre looking at

Did you have to change your dumpvlave mate?

Nope, still standard.

You'll have to change it soon. Otherwise it won't last a very long time.

Your on a real high at the moment. Calm down, and wait until next week, then you will see that the blue flame exhaust does give minimal gains in terms of HP but the sound sooooo nice and look soooo much better than the standard one. Only reason why I say it doesn't make much extra HP is i had my car remapped before I bought the exhaust and never got the map tweaked.

Did you not notice the car was a bit quicker mat,? with the 100 cell cat the turbo should fire up a bit better?

It might not make the 'peak' figures stand out. But across the rev range you can see how the turbo will spool up quicker..

It made a load of difference but as snoopie says its how the car behaves and not massive BHP gains, spool up is much, much quicker and across the whole rev range it pulls better especially low down, but then I might be trying to dumb it down ;) ;) as I really, really dont want to let it go.

Seriously, you wont be dissapointed with the blue flame and 100cel cat,
