need some help

Featured Replies

come out to my car tonight and some little oink has pushed in the black caps for the roof bars on one side i have tried myself to get them back to how they was i.e flush with the trim with no hole but i cannot do it

has anyone got any tips for doing this or am i going to have to take it to the local dealer and get charged lots of pennys

cheers:thumbup:

two ways of doing it that I can see -

use a pair of sharp needlenose pliers to get a good grip on them and pull out (I managed to get the round rubber stopper out of the hole in the rear door that way)

Failing that - get a sharp screw and screw it into the rubber bits and pull out that way - will need to replace in that case....

Is it possible to remove the cap on the other side ?. If so why not use a garage tyre air line to blow the other one out?. You will need two people ,one to collect it,one to apply the air.

They are pretty cheap to buy - I used to have some spares in the garage for when I used the roof rack.
