How do you get it off. It appears to screw off, but once its unscrewed as much as it can be, it still doesnt seem to want to come off.

HELP!

They don't come off, it's a "security feature"

The Octy is the same

Oh right., so presumably so someone cant half inch it, cheers for that.

Word of advice, don't take it into the car wash, you gotta replace the whole thing if it breaks!!!!

They aren't cheap!!!

Oh but its Friday morning sweetums and I've just finished work until Monday afternoon , so I am in a good (if tired) mood

Also if I have a beer at 8:50am I think I'm only one stop from being an alchy (even though I have been up most of the night). while everyone was getting bladdered on Friday/saturday night I was making sure that London did not grind to a halt over the weekend and I now have serious booze fatigue.

So does any Fabia RS owners (or any other owners of cars with arials that wont come off) take their car to the car wash then?

one word, NO!

the automatic car washes end up scratching the paintwork. I would only recommend using one if you owned a shed or if it was a company car (as at the end of the day, you give it back)

I have used a car wash a couple of times in an 'emergency'. You just unscrew it as far as it goes, lie it down, then screw it tight again so it's firmly in the laid down position. It's fine like that.
