Nokia 6600

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Has anyone got one of these, i just got an upgrade, its a cool phone but seems to eat up the battery pretty quick!!!

Any advice?

Matt

A couple of things.......

I assume you let it charge properly.....I guess that would be 12+hours?

Have you enabled a transmitting function...i.e. Bluetooth. These tend to shorten standby time.

Yes.. Bluetooth will drain a phone battery very quickly.

also make sure the screen backlight isnt set to be on all the time too.

I hope the 6600 is better than my POS Sony Ericsson P900.....

Sorry once again for dissapearing for so long, march is a busy month at the dealership + girlfriend = Not a lot of time for anything else!!!

Thanks guys, lots of cool apps for me new fone on the sites you recommended.

I regards to battery life, i tend to let the phone run flat before i charge it up again and i left it on charge for 24 hours. My last phone 6610 lasted about a week without having to charge it up!! Perhaps my expectations for the phone are a little high with all the gear they cram onto the things!!! I'm getting about 2 days out of a charge.

One thing I am dissapointed about is I can't get the game 'Worms' on my new phone, but I could on my last! Has anyone played that game on PC/Amiga etc.?

There is a large no. of faulty nokia 6600's. There is a software fault with sending/recieving MMS.

Would you consider selling it (the p900 that is) ?

I don't have a problem with MMS, mine works fine in both directions.
