17's hmmmmmm

Featured Replies

hey guys jus wanted to know, if i got 17s for my fab, would i need arch work and how much could it be lowered afterwards

Cheers

17s should fit as long as you go for 205/40 tyres (someone please correct me if wrong...)

I seem to remember Graeme (fab16v) and Jason (Devonutopia) running 17s with lowering springs (30-35mm), so try doing a few searches to see what you dig up :)

7.5 x 17 with 205/40 17

-35mm Koni/Eibach kit

No arch problems what so ever even fully loaded.

Mine was on 7x17 with 205/40R17 and dropped 30mm on Pi springs. I never had a problem at all with that!

A picture (pre crash) of my Fabia on 17s with eibach 30mm springs. Just can't go much lower on the springs and 18s not recommended for daily use. I believe this setup makes the wheel "fit" the arch very well.

I told you that was the wrong way to get the tyre off the rim. ;)

so digging the rim into a welsh A road at 60mph wasn't the way to do it? :D

It almost worked though. :P

And I almost broke my neck in the process. so, I guess going to ATS isn't that bad then. :D
