Pilot Sport 2 tyres any opinions?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, wanted to see if anyone had any experiences with Michelin pilot sport ps2's fitted two 225/40 18's at the weekend ?

I think Makefish has these fitted.

Expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Got them on my Superb (225/45/17) quieter than anything else I have tried, lasted about 15,000 miles on the front, and what appears to me as quite good handling, only just got to the handling limits and they do break away very gently...good in the dry .....not bad in the wet.....but absolutely useless on snow  .....and....quite expensive

Have had these on for about 8 months now and they have worn very well and grip like the preverbial to a blanket!. I can highly recomended the Michelin PS2's but they are bloody expensive so when the time comes I'm tempted to give tthe Falken 452's a go but they seem too cheap to be any good but there's only one way to find out I suppose..

They are supposed to be very good, if somewhat pricey.

Got these in 17"s. Very impressed. Had the 'standard' continentals before and the PS2's are much gripier.. and they look nice too. I even had a guy at ATS comment on them when they were fixing my exhaust. But as said, they are expensive and really do suck in the snow...

Had these on the front of the Mondeo and loved them but ended up replacing them with Pilot Primacies (due to it being a Sunday and me needing a tyre urgently) which I couldn't wear out soon enough. I replaced them with Falken 452's. There isn't a big difference between the Falken's and the PS2's and certainly not

Tyres that are good in snow = snow tyres.

I don't rate the grip from the Pilots. They last a long time though. Can't have it both ways i guess.

Tread lasts forever but as with most Michelins they perish badly......... get some F1`s or Rosso/Neros and wear them out:D

Phil

Lasts forever? I only got 15k out of mine!

Chris

Well I only got 7k out of my Sport Contact 2s and I've just had some Toyo Proxes T1-R (235/40/18) fitted to the fronts and fook me they're good.
