That'll come down to which coach you chose/are assigned! I pity the poor people who get to go out with me mwahahahaha!

Chris

Shame as well because by the time there's another one, i'll be 27!!:o :(

That's good news then! It will be a shame to miss something like this. :)

Just had an e-mail reminder from Peter Dixon, and he said it will be 1:1 coaching.

I think they banked on having about 10 HPC'ers coaching but got an overwhelming number of volunteers so are now able to do 1:1  I also see from the itinerary that the "lectures" look very interesting too and some will hopefully be useful for the afternoon drives :D

Chris

Alright, just found this thread - I'll be there tomorrow, the ugly bloke with a skinhead driving the silver fabia!

See you all there

Chris

See you all tomorrow! :D

Right time for bed, got to get up early! zzzzzzzzzzz..........

Great. I'll be thinking of you whilst running my brother to the airport. :(

Chris

Back now! Had a great day!

Thanks again Chris!

Yep, a brilliant day - made all the better some unseasonal sunshine! ;)

Thanks for the heads-up on this Chris, and good to meet some more Briskodians

Steve

Great day, if anyone here has any doubts, do it. I learned as much in 2 hours with a great driver nutting it around in a turquoise L reg diesel 306 as I have in my whole time with the IAM.

Cheers Chris!

Rob

Ahhh, so you were the one with the 1.4 Fabia, wanting to take it round a track :)

Sorry I didn't bump into you...

Hey Rob,

I liked your colourful discription of your car!

As Wardy said, shame didn't bump into you during the day.

Glad you all had a good day (cheque's are in the post ;)) and shame we didn't bump into you Rob! Simon is something else isn't he

And I won't tell everyone what you said about the Fabia - wouldn't want you getting lynched on here ;)

Chris

Yeah, sorry I didn't see you all too, but there sure were plenty o skodas (and a red mondeo!) in the car park!

And I won't tell everyone what you said about the Fabia - wouldn't want you getting lynched on here ;)

I think we need to get one thing straight here... I wasn't suggesting that all Fabias were ****e, but when compared to some/most of the other cars there, I think it would be somewhat bending the truth to suggest that the 1.4 Fabia with the grey interior is built for racing to the same degree as, for example, the porsche...

I actually really like my car, but considering how much I was using that bit o the rev counter above 4000, it did scare me slightly when the dashboard display flashed "oil" in the car park straight afterwards!

As I always say, the major limiting factor in these things is the driver. Stick me in a Porsche and Simon in your car, I'm sure you know who's going to be the quicker! ;)

Another aspect of the HPC, which I'm not sure was mentioned, was that the HPC have negotiated their own insurance scheme which means members can opt to insure their cars so that any HPC member over 25 years old is insured to drive that car fully comp anywhere in Europe (including tracks). This means that a lot of the members (and there are loads of very generous members!) will happily chuck you the keys to their pride and joy and let you have a good drive in it!

I don't think they mentioned that, but I was reading about that today.

If becoming a better driver wasn't incentive enough! That's pretty awesome!
