Has anyone tried these pads? The Write up sounds quite good.

I had ebc green years ago and they were good despite what some people say about them. What driving are you going to be doing? Unless it has changed recently, Green is for everyday, red (fast road) is for hairing around like a loon, yellow (racing) is for seat of the pants stuff. You will have to get them v hot to work at optimum. A trip to the shops on yellow will give you worse than standard I would have thought as they won't get anywhere near the required temp..

I wouldnt use the yellow stuff for a road car, your better off and indeed ebc will also tell you this to use red stuff all round on the octavia as the weight of the car justifies that particular heat rating, the idea behind using them in the rear as well is to balance the heat rating so that you dont cook the rears because of the increased temp ratings in the front!

Is RED STUFF pads good for everyday use ?

The new Green, Red and Yellow all claim to be E approved and suitable for road use.

Peronally I'd go for Reds, and ScoobyChris has been running these and seemed pretty impressed with them.

There is a review in the review section too.
