Hello all, long time no posts! Still have my 5 year old VRS OCTY and have just hit 2 problems:eek: . The right hand front road spring has broken right at the top and is now not seated against the spring stop, but against the bodywork turret. So, i need a new spring, or do they come as a unit with the shock? If I can just fit the spring, any tips on how to would be good.

After putting the wheel back on, started the car up and it seemed a bit fuffy. Took it for a 2 mile trip to check the spring would be ok for short trips in the week, but then the engine started missing and the eng management light started flashing. Got back home and the light was constantly on:mad: So is this a sympton of coil pack failure. Its done 40k miles and is still on the original coil packs apart from one which was replaced at its last service 3 mths ago - I think it went when the garage renewed the plugs. It does sound like its running on only 3 cyls, and the car also smelt hot, even though it had only gone 2 miles.

Yeah sounds like a coil pack. I took the hit and got 4 new ones at the same time. Revison L ones I think.

You should be able to buy the springs seperate.

Springs are listed as separate items. You should replace both sides rather than just the broken one.
