They are bad enough when they stay still!!:eek: And I only rig mics on them:D .

easy... we do it quite frequently... normally we use electric loadstar chain hoists hung off the main roof trusses on roundslings.. the only trouble is you need a 3-phase supply to the chainhoist so it makes it a little difficult.. but still far easier to rig lights off a truss which is on the floor rather than up in the ceiling:)

the thing about harnesses and fall arrest systems.. is that if sombody is wearing a harness/life line/etc... then it is a HSE requirement that you have a rescue procedure in place to retrieve sombody who has falled, for example they might have bashed thier head on an rsj and they might be 'out cold'... in which case they would need sombody to go and get them, possibly by rope access or similar.... it isn't the responsibility of the emergency services to rescue sombody who has fallen from the rigging....

I hate tallescopes and cherry pickers too, good job I work outdoors most of the time. Just scaffolding to climb and the occasional 220ft Galaxy hoist to go up in!!!!:D
