Tomtom screen for Fabia vRS SE owners

Recommended Posts

I saw a post from mater about a month ago which detailed how to change the startup screen for a tomtom satnav to the Skoda logo. Having finally picked up my shiny SE this week I've "borrowed" the attached image from the Skoda website & put it in my tomtom using mater's instructions (which I've copied below) & it works great.

I can't imagine that Skoda will be upset by the use of their photo given SE owners have just spent 13k on this little beauty!!:D

Thanks mater:thumbup:

Anyone who has a TomTom Go 300/500/700/510/710/910 i have a Skoda Splash screen for when you first turn it on so instead of having the boring tomtom go screen it shows a skoda logo instead

ive attached the file to this and this is how to install it

1. Save Skoda.bmp to your desktop

2. Connect your Tom Tom to your pc

3. Go to my computer and double click on the tomtom icon

4. Delete the file

I've made one MFD look-a-like, so there you go...

P.S. just move it to the root of your SD card/disk on your TomTom without renaming. If you want to have the same image when turning off TomTom, just make a copy and name it suspend.bmp

also, doesn't the picture have to be rotated 90 degrees to display properly? I know that was the case on my TT700.

Yep it does on my TT Go300.... Clockwise by 90 degrees........ Might be different on the newer 510, 710 & 910 though.

This is my current start up screen that i'm using.

Cheers

Dave.
