T1-Rs are good on road for sure. :) Have them on all 4 on my car now, but after something perhaps more suited to a dry track, and when it's wet I would simply use my road wheels. :)

Big up Toyo T1r's.

Great in the dry, good in the wet, brilliant on the track. Fuel economy good, as is the noise from them.

Better than the F1's I am currently using, in a different league to the Michy Pilots I had before and they make the Bridgestone Turanzas look expensive and ordinary.

I doubt you will get better for the money, even for the track. My set have done 19k and two track days and I know there is another track outing left in them. Nice stiff sidewalls give you a lot of confidence and make them very predictable especially on a dry track. With these on I get loads of grip even when hot and when you do go a little too far you know when they are going to go and what I get on my set up is a tiny bit of oversteer on lift off which translates into a little drift.

Perfect!

Which Pilots did you have?

Pilot HX MXM, Pilot Primacy, Pilot Sport or Pilot Exalto 2?

I found the PE 2 to be very grippy wet or dry.

Guess you could always try some Falken 452 as they were about

when you get sorted with tyres post us a photo.never seen a furby with tt rims.id agree with the pe 2s just there expensive

Yeah, I hope so. They will be used solely on track mainly, with my current wheels being much prettier in my opinion. This is why I'm considering track only application tyres. They're damned expensive though. Not found a decent semi-slick for under

i have the same problem as you, need sticky tyres for track days on spare audi comps.please let us know your results:thumbup:

i assume the purchase was an ebay job then, altho being newport i wouldnt be suprised if they were nicked :P (Live just outside newport myself - know what its like).

I use Yoko Parada spec II's as my road tyre, 215/40/17 astounding dry grip, predictable give up point and good strength sidewall, not so hot in the wet, but just as predictable. Theres a guy doing a set of four for around

theres a silver VRS with that wheels on in the alloys archive.

stu:D
