Detailed bros car (not a skoda sorry!)

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I'm really into my detailing and thought I'd show you what stuff I use. My bro picked his car up the other day and we asked the garage not to clean the outside (more work removing whatever wax they put on it).

Normally I'd use Autoglym Shampoo, Meguiars Quick Clay, then use Sonus SFX1, 2 and 3 with the Porter Cable and put P21S on top but I didn't want to cut into the paint as there was no need to. I stuck mainly with Autoglym products as I've used most of them before and they are readily available from Halfords etc when I do run out.

So when I came back from uni I decided to wash it with Autoglym Shampoo using the two bucket method and a lambswool mitt. The car including wheels was then clayed using Meguiars Quick Clay and the Quick Detailer. The car was rinsed off and dryed using the Autoglym Aqua Blade (I rate this better than the other cheap blades as it doesn't leave marks) and Autoglym Water Magnet Towels. The Porter Cable then came out and I applied a layer of Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine using the Sonus White pad on a fast speed. This removed some marks in the paint such as birt droppings and water marks without removing the clear coat. Then a layer of Zymol HD Clense was applied using a microfibre cloth and buffed off. Finally Zymol Carbon was applied a panel at a time, sprayed Quick Detailer on it, applied another coat directly on top, then buffed it off.

The wheels were coated with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection and the engine and tyres were dressed with Autoglym Instant Tyre Dressing. The exhaust was cleaned using a claybar first, then Autoglym Metal Polish (the liquid version, not the cream). Finally the interior was cleaned using Autoglym Interior Shampoo and a normal sponge, and the windows cleaned with Autoglym Fast Glass and a microfibre cloth.

Hoping to do the Furby when I have time (weather permitting also!)

Here's the results:

Looks mint fella. Awesome motor too!

You've done a good job on that.

Would be great to see some outdoor pics of it on a sunny day (if summer isnt over already).

Love the light shot that you linked to (re-posted cos I think it deserves it)....

Thanks for the comments, car looks much better in daylight too!

Awesome. Well done.I've driven the 535D Touring down to Slovenia on the German autobhans. Hit 160mph - indicated (limiter kicked in) What a car!! Still averaged over 30 mpg

That is dangerous, irresponsible. What if Children walked out, What if.. a Bird flew infront of your car and pulled out ... You could of took someone's eye out! :P

(Now for my actualy response)

I'll get 160 indicated on my clocks soon enough, Just need to find a road outside a school, that's big enough.
