PAS Light Service

Featured Replies

I've dropped my car off this morning at the dealers for the pas light fault fixing under warranty, this is the second time they have had it - the other was a saturday morning and they claimed they would need the car for a full day for further diagnostics so hence dropping it in today.

The worst thing is i am now driving a car with approx half the bhp a 1.2 htp classic . its at times like these when you really appreciate your own car

Just an update . . .

The dealers had the car a full day to diagnose and are still unsure about the cause.

They've tested the rack, the steering angle sensor and the pump all of which are ok but i was told there is a volt drop between the dash and steering pump which could mean a problem with the wiring loom or water ingress into wiring loom, both of which are not covered on the skoda extended warranty. So its going back in 3 weeks but i could be left to foot a rather large bill.

Has anyone else heard of this problem with water ingress into wiring loom?

If you use the search on here, you'll find numerous occasions where water ingress it mentioned.
