help

my rear wiper wont stop:confused:

the stork is not jammed or anything, and when i click it on the fluid comes out just the same but when i put it back in the off position it just keeps on going

the front ones just normal, no problems

any ideas as its doing my head in and could potentially damage my wiper and motor

does anyone know what number fuse the rear wiper is as i want to take that out to stop it for the time being, but obviously dont want to lose my front ones for when it rains?

oh yeah and its a vrs if that helps

cheers:thumbup:

Possibilities are:

- Park in the wiper motor has gone

- Switch is having a funny.

- If just intermittent is being odd then possibly a relay.

I would say one of the first two but it is covered fairly well on here so a search should help you find the details.

IIRC fitting the motor isn't hard as long as you can get the linkage etc out.

Good opportunity to fit a new linkage or strip and grease the old one too.

mine had this a year back.loads of water ingress in the mechanics of the motor, all i did was unplug it in the boot under the trim.

couldn't find a hatch one at a scrappy,so bought an estate,it fits but you have to use the arm and wiper too, which is smaller,so less wipe.fabia arm might mend this.

EDIT:haynes says F24(20A) and F27(15A),(so 15A for rear?)though me and wiring diagrams don't get on.
