How U Like My Tuned Fab?

Featured Replies

Whassup folks?

As I'm gonna stay in Aberdeen for one year from next September on, I thought it would be interesting to get people's opinion about my tuned Fab. I finished the project around a month ago and it was a long way until my Fab got there where it is now. To check out the pictures, just follow this link

Whazzup dude. Umm nice pics. Personally not too keen on the colour of the wheels, I dont like chrome, but the actual wheels are v.nice, lot of lip on them! I like everything else, I see you have had the back doors delocked/dehandled which looks good. Whats been done performance wise? Why you going to Aberdeen for, work?

going euro  personaly the bumper does nothing for me but i don't mind the wheels !

Is that solid black? Doesnt look like Black magic

I like it - some nice touches there!

I'm not a fan of shiny chrome wheels or door handles, but I like the overall look. Some modified Fabias just look daft but this one is pretty tastfull. I like the 0Darth Vadar-ish look at the front :)

@ vrs jamez27

Performance: Chiptuning to 165 hp and 410 Nm & K&N Airfilter. Nothing else.

I'm going to Aberdeen coz I got a grant to study 2 semesters at the University of Aberdeen. I'm looking forward to it.

@ ChrisRs

No it ain't solid black, it's the original black magic paint. Maybe it just looks different on the pics.

Nice car!

WOW!!!

That Is the most AWESOME Fabia I have ever witnessed, cars on here might be more powerful etc, but yours looks like something completely different to humble Fabia!!!

Just had another look...

That car looks like it would eat my Grandma and not even care!

Nice car

It's a bit too "bling" for me but it's obviously been done to a very high standard.

The car looks cool altho i am not sure about the front skirt. This might be a silly question but how do you open the back doors.

Most likely to be with a button or catch.

thats what i thought but couldnt see anything on the pics.

You won't. Button might be on another Fob. Or Catch might be inside.

Or maybe he gets in Dukes-Of-Hazzard stylee ;)

Chris

Not sure on the wheels or bumper but I love the front boser bonnet. Did you buy that or is it a custom job?

Shaun

i like! love the bonnet and back :) its cute!

Definitely a mean looking fabia, not sure I agree with the "DUB" sticker on the side, even with the VAG parentage. :)

Definitely a nicely modified example and something you're very pleased with. I would be interested in what you did with to smooth off the back doors. :) (in terms of electrics / door poppers - not the actual bodywork)

 Thanks yall...

Just to stop the speculations: The rear doors can't be opened from the outside and since they're used very rarely, I didn't implement any motors to make them pop off. I simply open them by hand from the insides when the front door is open. If I had cleaned all door handles, I would have implemented an automatic device to open the doors by one click on the remote. But I use my Fabia almost daily and therefore like to have handles in the front doors.

Concerning the hood and the front bumper: Like almost all other things on this car, they're custom-made too. Actually, I designed the front bumper on my own. I got some inspiration from the Japanese bodykit manufacturer Ings. So, don't expect another Fabia to have this front. I know it is a matter of taste, but here in Switzerland people are more US/Japan oriented in terms of taste. That's why I made it look more aggressive with huge air intakes and as somebody already noticed the message the front wants to give is: Get outta my way or I'll eat you ;)

If you like I can also post the modification list. Btw, the wheels are probably the most expensive part on my Fab. The brand is 'Work' and they were produced on demand in the manufactury in Japan .

a mate of mine had a astra and took of the dor handels only problem was the button inside the car i pressed it by mestake once and nearly fell out but the doors could be opend with the remote as well as the buttons onside the car.

I added 4 more pics. There you can see the black tail lights which I installed in the meantime and the engine, the covers and the 2 bonnet lifters.

Ah kk. On the MK4 Golfs you can buy the bonnets. Trying to find a how to but doing so well, any chance you could pm me how its done?

Cheers

Shaun

I really like friend!

Hmmm, I think I quite like the car as a whole, even though I don't normally like chrome wheels on a car... What I love on your car is the bonnet, it looks brilliant. Given me some serious inspiration there!

It looks like something off 'pimp my ride'! Not to my taste, but it looks like a quality job and if you like it then that's all that matters.
