Hi everyone, thought i would say hello here before i get crakcing,

my name is steve, im 26 and im an expectant father, very much looking forward to it but my current car, a very nicely modified, supercharged eunos roadster just isnt going to be practical for 3 people! lol

problem is my current car is a bit of a tough act to follow, 180 bhp, 175 lbs of torque and a total weight of 907kgs :D its a bit quick off the mark, also being RWD she handles well and can take a bend or two

anyway after a few days of searching around the internet i think i have decided on my next car... a skoda octavia vrs, as i see it, its practical, a good sleeper for the traffic light GP and most importnatly now, it has 4 seats and there comfy

anyway, i wonder if you guys could give me some buying advice, what things to look for etc, im looking to spend between

Hi Steve.

thanks for the welcomes, is a cam belt change a DIY job?? or is it really a pro job?

to be fair i think i would likely make a early trip to jabba for a fmic, bov and a remap unless i get one thats already been fettled, i guess if needs be i could get the cam belt done there if it hasnt been done

whats the service intervals for the cam belt on the octavia, i have read 120k?

Steve
