:eek: Holy moly.......

So you're about 20 now with the Civic yes? Wish I had a car like that at 20. Sniff. :(

its easy, just take out a massive loan :rofl:

20 with no points living in a high risk part of London. Driving for two years without any no claims bonus. Cheapest I've found so far is

lol what a waste of cash.

Im 28 group 20 on the Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo 4yrs no claims and protected for a mere.....

I've always saved a substantial amount (

I can afford my car. My petrol, my insurance, and my property. So. Do one! :rolleyes:

?:confused:

But surely youd rather spend that money on longer lasting things?

Ok lets look at it another way - I'll assume you drive 10k per year so that

:rofl:

It is irresponsible to encourage others who may not be as well off as you into such high total running costs. I mean most people at the age of 20 will be earning ball park 18k gross and your paying out 7k of that on a car each YEAR!!! so living costs are tiny - not many jars of ale or holidays nor nice clothes nor xbox360. Nor thinking about it any mortgage payments.

IS bank of mum & dad still running for you? If so shame on you let them enjoy their old age without having to constantly give you financial aid.

:D:) :eek: :o :( :mad::finger:

Do everyone a favour.... :thumbup::rofl:

sounds about right I give valid reason why paying that much for insurance is crazy and its far cheaper to go by taxi everywhere but your retorte is "Do everyone a favour....."

Worrying really if that is all you can use as a posative for paying so much towards the running costs of a car.

Welshy - I can perfectly understand why he said "Do everyone a favour..." In the space of two posts you have gone from saying "Dont get me wrong Im not having a go" to saying its irresponsible to encourage others into such high running costs. I dont see anywhere him encouraging others to do it and you just seem intent on stiring things up. Why are you assuming he's on 18k a year? He could be on 20k,30k, 40k a year or had a nice inheritance left to him, but what he does with his money is his decision and as long as it doesn't affect me then he can do what ever he wants with it. I'm sure if he didn't insure it and got caught you would be the first one to rub his nose in it!

No I said ave salary for that age group.

After reading some of the huuuuuge insurance premiums being paid in the=is thread , I wondered how much I'd be paying if I had a sporty car , instead of a basic one , so Ive been having a play on Direct Line website. All quotes are under the exact same criteria as the quote for my Fabia Comfort (

Thankyou! Welshy has a habit of going around and stiring trouble. See his previous posts. He is the forum troll, and unfortunately nothing has been done about it.

So here if you wanted to upgrade to the Fabia vRS the monthly premium would increase by

What, like a BMW:rolleyes: ?

I appreciate what your trying to say but you just don't get it do you.

It's the same drive that makes people mod their cars past the point of being economically sound.

Because they want to and because they can.

Good on them!

Given its so high you may as well buy a 205 1.9GTi on 3PF&T.

Why would you want to do that? The Vrs won't require weekly repairs ;) Actually, don't answer that. I might loose

Mind you with the exterior changes I have a big issue here if it is modified exterior it may be much less safe for pedestrians why would any car driver wish to increase the risk of death to others?

Because if you only injure them, they can file a compensation claim! ;)
