i have a feeling i have managed to break a piece off the bottom of my car, its big and black and fiberglass, part number written on it is 1L0 825 250 G ?

unless of course it's a pure coincidence that there was a VW branded part in the spot that i heard a "bang"

looks like its that v belt cover. next question is, considering i've just ripped it off and knackered it completely, is my car going to explode, can i live without it, and is it going to cost a fortune to fix?
