sport fsi 2.0 tuning

Featured Replies

ive been looking at various tuning sites, but they only seem to do tdi's or vrs's is there any difference between a vrs and sport (minus the turbo) and can i expect much difference in bhps and performance?

Hi,

I have asked this question a couple of times and all i seem to get is redirections to the links page and when i do that all i have found is remaps to gain only about 9bhp.

If you find anybetter than me please let me know as my sport is great at tax free prices.

Regards

Is the air filter enclosed in the engine cover like the V//RS? if so then a replacement performance panel from K&N for example should give you a little more bhp plus a more 'agressive' engine note. You could also look at the exhaust system but to be honest from what I have seen it's an awful lot of money for very little gain (on the TFSI).

I would have a word with some of the tuning companies such as Forge, Milltek etc. to see what opinions they have as they may have other suggestions.

9hp gain on a Naturally Aspirated engine is pretty good to be honest.

I saw an R32 mapped a couple of weeks ago and it cost the bloke

Stu would you know if the air filters are the same on a sport 2.0 fsi to a vrs tfsi?

I think it'll be different on the TFSi and the air filter is in the engine cover.

Attached is what I beleive to be a diagram of your air intake. That being the case I would imagine an induction kit would be quite simple, some pipework and a cone filter.
