Featured Replies

Here's my boost gauge :D . Got the electrics plumed in, just waiting for a friend to help with linking into a vaccum pipe. Doesn't look too bad - what does everyone think?

Good thinking.Does anybody know what a standard vrs boost pressure reaches

yea .5 bar........sorry the logo was a Give away!!!

thought it was .7 bar

standard 180bhp vRS makes approx. 0.7bar boost

really??? learn somthing new Every day!

They peak at 10 psi and hold 7, by the way I have an Autometer 30psi (52mm) boost gauge up for grabs if anyones interested

well mine is standard and holds between 0.65 and 0.7 bar (9.5-10psi) depending on conditions, air temperature etc. I've not taken much notice of peak values.

These are from readings of live data from the management system, so not based on a shonky boost gauge that could be reading wrong.. :)

Thought boost gauges were more accurate then vag com for readings

well mine peaks up to about 10 psi and holds about 7-8 psi. depending what mood the car is in!!!!

as for accuracy. the gauge is only as accurate as it was set up during manufacture. if nothing else the dial behind the needle could have twisted around slightly giving all sorts of readings. all they do is give you an idea what its boosting at. do tuners watch the gauge that you have plumbed. i dont think so!!!
