Air flow recircluation button (Octavia)

Featured Replies

Hi,

my octavia 1.9tdi air flow recirculation button is not working, it won't stay in when pressed.

Is there an easy way to fix this apart from a new one?

Any advice would be welcome.

cheers

It's normally an indication of a flap motor being jammed or broken.

If you could get the fault codes read it would tell you.

If the air direction is set to the windscreen it will not allow recirculate, set it to the floor position and try it.

Thankyou fordfan,

your answer solved my problem.

When I think about the reason for the recirculation function not being available on the screen position it seemed logical.

It would be almost impossible to demist a damp windscreen with this function engaged.
